Events and Promotions Coordinator; Sports

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and highly organized Events and Promotions Coordinator to join their sports division in Vereeniging . This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of sports events, tournaments, and promotional activities to enhance fan engagement and brand visibility. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sports and event management.

You will work closely with marketing, operations, and external partners to deliver memorable experiences.

• Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of sports events, from local tournaments to larger fan engagement activities.
• Develop and implement creative promotional strategies to drive event attendance and participation.
• Manage event logistics, including venue booking, vendor coordination, and on-site management.
• Create marketing materials, press releases, and social media content to promote events and activities.
• Liaise with sponsors, stakeholders, and media partners to ensure successful event execution.
• Track event performance, analyze outcomes, and provide post-event reports to management.

• A degree or diploma in Marketing , Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in digital marketing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
