Sports Event Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Sports Event Coordinator to assist in the planning and execution of various sporting events in the Vereeniging area. This role involves coordinating logistics, managing vendors, and ensuring smooth operations from inception to completion. You will work closely with event managers and stakeholders to deliver memorable and successful sporting experiences for participants and spectators.

This hybrid position requires a proactive approach and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple aspects of event planning simultaneously.

• Assist in the planning and execution of all logistical aspects of sports events, including venue setup, equipment, and staffing.
• Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure all event requirements are met.
• Develop event timelines, budgets, and run sheets to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Manage on-site event logistics, troubleshoot issues, and provide support during the event.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in future events.

• Experience in event planning or coordination , preferably within the sports industry.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency in event management software and standard office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
