Senior Sound Engineer

Our client, a respected institution in the Nelspruit arts and entertainment community, is looking for a highly skilled Senior Sound Engineer . You will be responsible for ensuring exceptional audio quality across live performances, recordings, and broadcast productions. This role requires a deep understanding of acoustics, audio technology, and mixing techniques, along with the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

• Operate and maintain audio equipment for live events, studio recordings, and broadcast.
• Mix front-of-house (FOH) sound and monitor mixes for live performances.
• Set up and calibrate sound systems, ensuring optimal audio quality and clarity.
• Record, edit, and mix audio tracks for various projects, including music, voiceovers, and sound effects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with artists, producers, and technical teams to achieve desired sound aesthetics.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Sound Engineer, with a strong portfolio of live and studio work.
• Expertise in audio mixing consoles, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and signal processing.
• In-depth knowledge of acoustics, microphone techniques, and sound system design.
• Experience with live sound reinforcement and studio recording environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
