Lead Game Designer

Our client is seeking a highly creative and experienced Lead Game Designer to spearhead the design vision for their next generation of interactive entertainment experiences in Welkom . You will be responsible for defining core gameplay mechanics, systems, and player experiences, leading a talented team of designers to bring these visions to life. This role requires a deep understanding of player psychology, a passion for creating engaging mechanics, and the ability to collaborate effectively with art, engineering, and production teams.

• Define and document core gameplay mechanics , systems, and player progression across various game titles.
• Lead and mentor a team of game designers, providing direction, feedback, and fostering a collaborative design culture.
• Collaborate closely with narrative designers, level designers, and UI/UX designers to create a cohesive player experience.
• Develop innovative player engagement strategies and monetization models.
• Prototype and iterate on game mechanics, ensuring they are fun, balanced, and technically feasible.
• Conduct play testing sessions and analyze player feedback to refine game design decisions.

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in game design , with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Proven track record of designing and shipping successful titles across multiple platforms.
• Strong understanding of game systems design , player psychology, and engagement loops.
• Proficiency in game design documentation tools and methodologies (e.g., GDDs, wire framing).
• Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills , with the ability to articulate complex design concepts clearly.
