Finance Manager

An established agricultural and food processing business is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the full financial function of its abattoir operations. The role focuses on financial planning, reporting, compliance, cost control, and strategic decision-making to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency in a regulated, high-volume environment.

• Manage the full finance function including accounts, budgets, forecasts, and reporting.

• Lead financial planning, analysis, and performance monitoring
  .

• Ensure compliance with SARS, SARB, and statutory regulations.

• Oversee audit processes, tax compliance
  , and risk management.

• Support business growth through cost control and profitability improvement
  .

• Maintain and optimise ERP and financial systems
  .

• Manage credit control, cash flow, and treasury functions
  .

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
  , driving accountability and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with operations and head office to align financial and business strategies.

• BCom / BTech / BSc in Accounting or Financial Management (CA(SA) advantageous).

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior finance role within manufacturing, agriculture, or FMCG sectors.

• Strong understanding of IFRS, taxation, and cost accounting

• Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, Xero) and advanced Excel
  .

• Proven experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and audit coordination
