About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Auditor to join their internal audit team in Benoni . This role is responsible for planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits across the organization. You will assess internal control effectiveness, identify areas of risk, and provide recommendations for improvement to management within the Banking & Finance sector . The Senior Auditor will play a vital role in ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and the integrity of financial reporting.

• Plan and conduct internal audits according to the annual audit plan.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, analyze, and document audit findings and recommend practical solutions.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports for management and the audit committee.
• Perform follow-up procedures to ensure management's action plans are implemented effectively.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes affecting financial institutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CA(SA), CPA, or CISA is required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in internal or external audit, preferably within the Banking & Finance industry.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
