Financial Manager

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Provincial Finance Manager to join a well-established organisation operating within a fast-paced and purpose-driven environment. This role offers the opportunity to take responsibility for regional financial operations while ensuring strong governance, compliance, financial control, and reporting standards.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role, providing financial oversight, managing support staff, and ensuring the effective implementation of financial processes and procedures across the region.

• Take ownership of the full financial accounting function within the region.
• Ensure the accurate processing and recording of financial transactions.
• Maintain complete records of source documents, audit trails, and financial documentation.
• Prepare and review financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Implement and maintain effective accounting controls and financial systems.
• Ensure financial processes are executed in line with company policies and standard operating procedures.
• Monitor compliance and identify opportunities to strengthen financial governance.
• Support audit requirements and maintain accurate financial records.

• Manage budgets and monitor expenditure against approved allocations.
• Assist with financial forecasting and planning activities.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure effective utilisation of resources and sound financial management practices.

• Lead, manage, and develop finance and administrative support staff.
• Drive accountability, performance, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Coordinate finance-related activities across the region.
• Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on financial matters.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management.
• Proven budget management experience.
• Previous team leadership or staff management experience.
• Experience overseeing the full finance function and financial controls.

• Experience with Pastel Evolution or a similar ERP/accounting system.
• Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel.
• Sound understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.

• Strong leadership and coordination abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management capabilities.
• High attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
• Sound judgement and decision-making skills.
