The Permanent Secretary is the Chief Accounting Officer of the Ministry and provides strategic guidance and supervision in the implementation of the Ministry’s Strategic Plan towards attainment of national development priorities.

• Master’s Degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, History or a related field; or
• Postgraduate Diploma/Honours Degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, History or a related field; or
• Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, History or a related field.

• Master’s Degree:
  Five (5) years senior management experience.
• Postgraduate Diploma/Honours Degree:
  Seven (7) years senior management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree:
  Ten (10) years senior management experience.

Experience in Public Service Management will be an added advantage.
