This is an exciting and rare opportunity to work in Scotland’s only VV ECMO centre providing specialist care to Scotland’s patient population requiring ECMO services. Our regional critical care services are currently being delivered in 2 critical care areas with a mix of level 2 and 3 patients. Currently there are approximately 40 mixed critical care beds and up to 6 ECMO beds.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to work alongside an established senior clinician sharing leadership of our dynamic ICU Physiotherapy Team, covering ICU, surgical HDU and ward patients from surgical areas including head and neck, and general surgical specialities. Suitable applicants will have previous Critical Care experience in level 2 and level 3 care.

This vacancy demands excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills. Your personal qualities should include excellent organisation skills together with a positive approach and the ability to work autonomously within a busy team.

You will provide teaching and supervision for physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and members of the Multidisciplinary Team and participate in the training of staff working on call and weekends/bank holidays.
