About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Environmental Services Technician to join their team in Klerksdorp . In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a healthcare setting, playing a crucial part in infection prevention and control. You will perform a range of cleaning and disinfection duties in patient rooms, common areas, and high-risk zones, adhering to stringent healthcare sanitation standards.

• Perform cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, operating theaters, and other clinical areas according to strict protocols.
• Sanitize surfaces, equipment, and high-touch points to prevent the spread of infections.
• Manage waste disposal, including biohazardous materials, following regulatory guidelines.
• Restock supplies in patient rooms and restrooms as needed.
• Operate specialized cleaning equipment and ensure its proper maintenance.
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure timely and effective environmental services.

• Previous experience in environmental services, preferably in a healthcare setting . Knowledge of infection control principles and cleaning procedures for hospitals.
• Ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents safely and effectively.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
