Key Responsibilities- Provide personalized support to clients with disabilities, assisting with personal care, hygiene, and domestic tasks.
- Support clients in participating in community activities, social events, educational pursuits, and employment opportunities.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and the use of assistive devices as outlined in their care plans.
- Administer medications and monitor health status, reporting any changes or concerns to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
- Facilitate communication and understanding between clients and their support networks, including family and service providers.
- Promote client independence, choice, and dignity in all aspects of care and support.
- Experience in a disability support role or similar caregiving environment.
- Understanding of different types of disabilities and person-centered support approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport.
- Proficiency in providing personal care and assisting with daily living activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in disability services are advantageous.
