About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Community Health Educator to join their team in Benoni . This role is focused on empowering community members with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions about their health and well-being within Gauteng . You will design and deliver engaging health education programs on various topics, including disease prevention, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles.
The ideal candidate is passionate about public health, possesses excellent communication skills, and is committed to improving health outcomes at the community level.
- Develop and deliver engaging health education programs and workshops tailored to diverse community audiences.
- Assess community health needs and identify key health issues to inform program development.
- Create culturally appropriate health education materials, including brochures, presentations, and online content.
- Facilitate discussions and provide accurate information on topics such as disease prevention, healthy eating, exercise, and mental wellness.
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to promote health initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Education, Nursing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in health education or community health promotion.
- Strong knowledge of public health principles and common health issues.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate complex health information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Experience working with community-based organizations is advantageous.
