About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join their community pharmacy in Klerksdorp . This role is central to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care, dispensing medications accurately, and offering expert advice on health and wellness to customers. You will work closely with a team of pharmacy assistants and technicians, ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy and upholding the highest standards of professional practice.
This position is ideal for a compassionate professional committed to serving the health needs of the North West community with integrity and expertise.
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, verifying dosages and checking for potential interactions.
- Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and storage, ensuring adherence and understanding.
- Advise patients on over-the-counter medications, health products, and basic health concerns.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and prescription logs in compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering stock, receiving deliveries, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient treatment outcomes.
- Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a community or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products, pharmacology, and dispensing regulations.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and systems.
