About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join their team in Nelspruit . This role is essential in providing direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives within their community. You will assist clients with daily living activities, promote their social inclusion, and advocate for their needs. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about making a positive difference, offering unwavering support and fostering independence and well‑being for individuals with diverse abilities.

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Provide support for mobility, using aids and equipment as directed.
• Help clients with household tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
• Facilitate social and recreational activities to promote community engagement and independence.
• Support clients in attending appointments and accessing community services.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the support team, documenting care provided.

• A relevant qualification or certification in healthcare support or disability care.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
• Understanding of different types of disabilities and person-centered support approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patience skills.
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in challenging situations.
