Community Health Promoter

Our client is seeking a passionate Community Health Promoter to join their vital team in Vereeniging . This role focuses on educating and empowering community members to adopt healthier lifestyles and access essential health services. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing health promotion initiatives, raising awareness about prevalent health issues, and facilitating positive health behaviors throughout the Gauteng region.

• Develop and deliver health education programs and workshops on various health topics.
• Conduct community outreach to promote health awareness and disease prevention.
• Facilitate access to primary healthcare services and screenings for community members.
• Identify community health needs and barriers to healthcare access.
• Collaborate with local clinics, NGOs, and government health departments.
• Collect data and provide reports on program activities and health outcomes.

• Relevant qualification in Health Sciences, Public Health, Community Development, or a related field.
• Experience in community health promotion or a similar public health role is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health issues prevalent in South Africa.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse community groups.
• Willingness to travel within the Vereeniging area and engage in fieldwork.
