Healthcare Facility Cleaner

Our client requires a dedicated and detail-oriented Healthcare Facility Cleaner to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation within their medical facilities in Nelspruit . This role is critical in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating theatres, common areas, and other sensitive zones using specialized protocols and materials.

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to strict healthcare standards.
• Clean and sanitize operating theatres, treatment rooms, and other specialized medical areas following established protocols.
• Manage and dispose of regulated medical waste in compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain specialized cleaning equipment, including disinfectant applicators and high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter vacuums.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and disinfectants are used correctly and stored safely.
• Report any observed maintenance issues, safety hazards, or potential infection control breaches to the supervisor immediately.

• Previous experience in a cleaning role, preferably within a healthcare or similar sensitive environment.
• Knowledge of healthcare cleaning procedures, disinfection techniques, and infection control principles.
• Familiarity with the safe handling and disposal of medical waste and hazardous materials.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and adhere to strict cleaning protocols.
• Good physical health and stamina, with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods.
