• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assess patients’ vision and eye health.

• Perform refraction testing and prescribe appropriate corrective lenses.

• Advise patients on suitable spectacle lenses, frames and contact lenses according to their needs.

• Provide contact lens assessments, fittings and follow-up care.

• Identify eye health concerns and refer patients to appropriate healthcare professionals when required.

• Educate patients on eye care, visual health and the correct use of prescribed products.

• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure appropriate follow-up.

• Work closely with the practice team to deliver professional, efficient and friendly service.

• Contribute to patient retention and the continued growth of the practice.

• Maintain professional standards and work within the applicable scope of practice.

• A recognised qualification in Optometry.

• Current HPCSA registration as an Optometrist, appropriate to the role.

• Strong clinical skills and a thorough approach to patient care.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A professional, reliable and patient-focused approach.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a practice team.

• Good administrative skills and attention to detail.

• Preferably based in Boksburg or nearby, within a convenient commuting distance of the practice in the Elizabeth Road / Ridge Road area.
