Purpose of Job

The Digital Enablement Manager leads the strategic integration of digital solutions, data-driven decision-making, and technology adoption across the diverse portfolios of ROAS. This role ensures that digital initiatives unlock value, improve operational efficiency, enable cost and reliability performance, and support Sasol’s growth ambition, while embedding sustainable digital ways of working throughout ROAS operations.

Key Accountabilities Digital Strategy & Roadmap Delivery
  • Translate ROAS Strategy, Breakeven Programme imperatives, and Capital Markets Day direction into an integrated ROAS Digital Enablement Roadmap.
Align digital initiatives to ROAS priorities such as:
  • Operational and Services excellence
  • Integrated SA Value Chain optimisation
  • Zero harm digital enablers (safety tech, process safety insights)
  • Prioritise digital solutions using measurable value metrics (CFC reduction, OEE uplift, activity removal, productivity improvements).
  • Ensure digital initiatives adhere to “fit for purpose, fit for context” principles outlined in the ROAS Digital Framework.
Delivery of Digital Products, Automation & Data Capabilities
  • Drive integrated reporting automation, including real-time dashboards (e.g., WM, CFC, ARC savings, OEE, safety metrics).
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by improving data architecture, data pipelines, and quality across ROAS.
  • Oversee app development, user experience, process mining, and industrial engineering digital interventions.
Business Improvement & Value Realisation
  • Translate operational challenges into digital and process‑driven solutions.
  • Support Work Management excellence (planning, scheduling, prioritisation) through improved digital tools.
  • Embed continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma preferred) into digital transformation work.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
  • Lead structured stakeholder engagement across hubs.
  • Enable change management required for digital adoption, ensuring sustained benefits at line level.
Governance, Compliance & Cybersecurity
  • Ensure governance alignment with ROAS capital and operational processes (DoA, PDRI, risk standards, BE programme governance).
  • Ensure all digital tools comply with data privacy, cybersecurity, and operational risk frameworks.
Leadership, Team Capability & Talent Development
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary Digital Enablement team (Data Analysts, Industrial Engineers, App Developers, BI developers).
  • Build digital skills and drive upskilling across ROAS functions (analytics, digital tools, Agile delivery).
Formal Education
  • University Bachelors Degree
