Shop and looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing technical role.
This is not a passive, back‑office support job. You’ll be on the front line - speaking to customers, solving real problems, and taking full ownership of issues from start to finish.
Location: Hout Bay, Cape Town
Important: This is a CPT-based role and interviews will be conducted in person in Cape Town

Shop is a cloud-based ecommerce integration platform that connects ERP/accounting systems like SAP, SYSPRO, and Sage with online stores and marketplaces like Shopify, Woo Commerce, Takealot, and Amazon. We help businesses automate product, inventory, and order management so they can scale faster.

You’ll work directly with clients, troubleshoot integrations, and gain exposure to real‑world systems like ERP platforms, APIs, and ecommerce channels. It’s a strong stepping stone into more technical roles if you’re curious and willing to learn.
What you’ll be doing
- Handle incoming support queries across phone, email, and tickets
- Lead customer conversations - ask the right questions, guide troubleshooting, and drive resolution
- De‑escalate pressure situations with confidence and clarity
- Investigate data and system issues (ERP, integrations, product data)
- Work with developers to resolve more complex problems
- Take full ownership of issues until they are resolved
What we’re looking for
- Experience in customer or technical support
- Comfortable on the phone (this is a core part of the role)
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Calm under pressure with a structured approach to issues
- Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through
- Able to prioritise based on business impact, not just urgency
Technical exposure (you’ll work with / learn)
- SQL
- APIs (REST / SOAP)
- ERP/accounting systems like SAP, SYSPRO, Sage
- Ecommerce platforms like Shopify, Woo Commerce, Takealot
- Real technical growth - not just ticket handling
- Hands‑on exposure to integrations and data systems
- A team that values ownership and accountability
