Our client, a well‑established organisation operating within the agricultural industry, is seeking to employ an experienced IT Systems Support Specialist to join their team based in Addo, Sundays River Valley.

Requirements

Relevant formal IT Certificate, Diploma, or Degree
3 - 5 years experience
Strong proficiency in SQL Scripting and experience with databases (MS SQL Server and MS Access) – Non‑negotiable
Thorough knowledge of the Windows environment
Advanced MS Office skills
Solid understanding of software development principles
Experience in a development environment will be advantageous
Keen interest in and aptitude for using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Git Hub Copilot and similar technologies) to enhance productivity and code quality

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to) 1st Line Systems Support

Provide proactive support, guidance, and training to users on various software applications, including core production systems

Database Reporting and Analysis

Perform database interrogations and create reusable, high‑quality reports using MS Excel and SQL Scripts

System Redevelopment

Assist in the in‑house redevelopment of legacy systems
Utilize AI‑driven development tools to accelerate and optimize coding and workflow processes

IT Administration

Execute general IT administrative tasks to ensure departmental efficiency
