Location: Germiston

Job Purpose:

Support enterprise revenue growth by providing technical expertise, solution design, and pre-sales support across the vendor portfolio (Seagate, Ubiquiti, QNAP, Micron, Solidigm, Supermicro and various other vendors). Work closely with Business Development Managers, Product Managers, Partners and Customers to design, scope and validate end-to-end infrastructure solutions, ensuring technical and commercial alignment while enabling successful deal closure and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical pre-sales support to drive enterprise opportunities across computer storage and networking solutions
  • Design and specify end-to-end, multi-vendor solutions aligned to customer requirements and business objectives
  • Work closely with the Business Development Managers to qualify opportunities and develop solution strategies
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions, solution presentations, and product demonstrations for customers and partners
  • Create and deliver high-quality solution proposals, BoMs, and technical documentation
  • Support RFPs, tenders, and complex bids, ensuring accuracy and competitive solution positioning
  • Collaborate with vendor teams to validate designs, ensure compliance, and access technical resources
  • Assist partners (VARs, SI’s, MSPs) with solution enablement, technical training, and deal support
  • Provide installation guidance, best practices and post-sales technical support where required
  • Stay up to date with vendor technologies, certifications and market trends
  • Support internal teams with product knowledge, training and technical escalation handling
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • 3–5+ years' experience in a pre-sales or technical solutions role within IT infrastructure or distribution
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT environments (storage, servers, networking, data center solutions)
  • Proven ability to design and present multi-vendor solutions
  • Experience with relevant technologies/vendors (e.g., storage, servers, networking like Ubiquiti/Supermicro ecosystems)
  • Strong understanding of solution architecture, sizing, and performance considerations
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset
  • Relevant vendor certifications (advantageous)
