Inspired Testing is seeking a strong Intermediate Test Analyst to join a client based in Pinetown, Durban. This is an urgent opportunity for candidates who are either immediately available or able to start within a maximum 2-week notice period.

This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring attendance at the Pinetown office 2–3 times per week. Candidates must therefore be based in the Durban area.

• Must be based in Durban
• Must be able to travel to the Pinetown office 2–3 times per week
• Immediate availability or a maximum 2-week notice period
• Minimum 4 years' experience in software testing
• Strong SQL skills
• Strong capability in:
  Test Analysis, Test Design, Requirements Traceability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience working within Agile environments

• Relevant IT / Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
• ISTQB or ISEB Foundation/Advanced Certification preferred

• Perform test analysis and test design activities across projects
• Create and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Ensure full traceability between requirements and testing outputs
• Identify, log, track, and manage defects effectively
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders within Agile teams
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and testing standards
• Participate in the Inspired Testing Community of Practice

Awareness of modern testing practices, including:

• BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development)
• TDD (Test-Driven Development)
• Shift-Left Testing approaches

Hybrid Role

• 2–3 days per week in-office
• Pinetown, Durban
