Data Analyst; Retail Media

We are looking for a Data Analyst:
Retail Media to join one of the most exciting new growth areas in PEP.

PEP Media is where customer data, supplier partnerships, campaign performance and commercial opportunity come together. This role will help turn PEP’s customer, retail and campaign data into powerful insights that support audience planning, supplier reporting, campaign measurement and better business decisions.

This is a great opportunity for a curious, commercially minded analyst who wants to help build something new, not just report on what happened, but help shape how PEP Media grows at PEP.

• Be part of a brand-new and fast-growing Retail Media capability at PEP.
• Work with customer, campaign, loyalty, product and supplier data in a modern analytics environment.
• Help suppliers and internal teams understand what works, what customers respond to, and where the next opportunity lies.
• Work with tools such as Big Query, Vertex AI, Looker Semantic and Google Workspace.
• Join a team where your insights can directly influence campaign planning, audience targeting and supplier conversations.

• Analyse customer, campaign, loyalty, product, supplier and Retail Media data.
• Deliver insight packs, reports and recommendations that answer real business questions.
• Support customer profiling, audience sizing and descriptive segmentation.
• Build and maintain trusted reports, dashboards and reusable data assets.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation and QA checks to ensure outputs are accurate and reliable.
• Support campaign planning, supplier reporting, performance tracking and measurement outputs.
• Provide data extracts and analysis to support the Measurement & Performance Analyst.
• Translate business questions into clear, practical and easy-to-understand insights.
• Identify trends, opportunities and risks from customer and campaign data.

• Business degree with Analytical/Commercial subjects (e.g., Computer Sc., Maths, Eng.)
• 3–5 years’ experience in data analytics or a related data-driven role.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards and descriptive analysis.
• Experience working with customer, campaign, loyalty, product, supplier or Retail Media data.
• Experience translating business questions into analytical outputs and recommendations.

• Big Query SQL.
• Advanced Excel / Google Workspace.
• Data visualisation tools such as Looker Studio.
• Data extraction, transformation and analytical table creation.
• Data cleaning, enrichment, validation and reconciliation.
• Customer, campaign, loyalty, product and supplier data analysis.
• Descriptive analytics, audience profiling and segmentation.
• Knowledge and understanding of POPIA.
