Laptop​/Desktop Technician - Hardware

Go Green Electronic Recycling is an accredited experienced electronic waste recycler and IT Asset management specialist located in Somerset West.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Laptop/Desktop Technician located in Somerset West. The Technician will be responsible for bulk refurbishing of laptops and desktops. The Technician will perform hardware and software repairs and maintenance on laptops, desktops and other computing devices. The Technician will also be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues and providing solutions to ensure that all devices are functioning optimally.

• Proven experience as a Laptop/Desktop Technician - Hardware (5 years minimum)
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software and operating systems
• Experience with diagnostic tools, software for troubleshooting and repair techniques
• Solid technical skills and troubleshooting ability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize workload and multitask effectively
• Professionalism and attention to detail
• Commitment to keep current with technology advancements and update relevant knowledge as needed

Please note that this is a technical role and not a support role. Experience in laptop/desktop hardware is essential (ability to disassemble/assemble a laptop/computer and replace key components such as keyboards, screens, motherboards etc.)
