Job Overview John Deere South Africa is seeking a Precision Agriculture Systems Engineer to design and implement smart farming solutions. This role combines agricultural expertise with technological innovation to optimize crop yields and resource efficiency. Candidates will work on next-generation systems that integrate IoT, AI, and data analytics into farming operations.

• Develop precision agriculture systems using IoT sensors and automation
• Design farm management software for real-time crop monitoring
• Implement AI-driven yield prediction models
• Collaborate with farmers to customize smart farming solutions
• Conduct field trials for new agricultural technologies

• Expertise in agricultural systems engineering
• Proficiency in Python/JavaScript for farm automation

Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Technology, or related field. Advanced degrees in Precision Agriculture or Smart Farming are advantageous.

65,000 – 85,000 SSP/year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
