As they deepen their footprint in the South African market, they are seeking a strategic business professional who can seamlessly bridge world-class technology with local market needs.
Position Summary Provide on-site technical support to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and oversee equipment installation and commissioning to ensure smooth system deployment.
Proactively monitor customer usage, collect feedback, and identify customer pain points. Facilitate cross-departmental communication by relaying insights to R&D and internal stakeholders to support product improvements and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot market-related issues involving telematics products and provide after-sales technical support for both software and hardware. Develop appropriate solutions and standardised SOP workflows.
- Respond to and resolve various on-site technical issues in the field. Promptly provide collected data and analysis results to relevant departments to support product improvements.
- Participate in user operations by conducting customer follow-ups, compiling and analysing feedback, identifying common user pain points, and identifying high-value customer requirements.
- Manage after-sales operations, assist the team with process optimisation, and support business standardisation.
- Monitor product performance to ensure stable operation, track post-deployment performance, coordinate the resolution of operational issues, and complete other tasks assigned by management.
- Matric or higher
- Bachelor’ s degree or higher from an accredited university, majors in Automotive Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related fields - 5 - 10 years of work experience, including at least 3 years in the automotive or telematics business
- Strong understanding of automotive electronic and electrical systems; proficient in vehicle CAN protocols with hands-on experience in capturing and analysing CAN messages; proven ability to diagnose and resolve market issues related to commercial vehicle electronic control systems.
- Prior after-sales experience with telematics units (T-BOX), dash cams, or other automotive electronics is preferred
- Code 8 licence
- Excellent verbal communication and coordination skills; quick-thinking, logical, and articulate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly responsible with strong customer service awareness; able to perform under pressure
- Demonstrated experience in customer communication and structured handling of abnormal technical issues
- Read and write in English
- Must be a team player
