Are you an experienced IT Manager with a strong technical background and a passion for driving technology strategy within a fast-paced automotive environment?

An established automotive organisation with operations across Africa is seeking a hands-on IT Manager to lead and optimise its IT function from its Johannesburg office. This role offers the opportunity to oversee critical infrastructure, drive technology initiatives, manage IT projects, and ensure business systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned with organisational goals.

As the IT Manager, you will:

✅ Oversee network infrastructure, servers, systems, hardware, software, backups, and IT asset management
✅ Manage IT budgets, resource allocation, and technology investments
✅ Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity and compliance measures
✅ Lead IT projects including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations
✅ Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans
✅ Evaluate new technologies to improve performance and reduce costs
✅ Support and troubleshoot technical issues across the business
✅ Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT strategy with business objectives
✅ Develop and manage service level agreements across regional operations

To succeed in this role, you will need:

✔ 3-5 years' experience as an IT Manager
✔ Relevant IT Degree or Diploma
✔ Strong expertise in networking, server administration, security, cloud technologies, and data governance
✔ Proven project management and leadership experience
✔ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
✔ Automotive industry experience will be highly advantageous
