DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and skilled Dev Ops Engineer to join their dynamic IT operations team in Vereeniging . This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, focusing on automating and streamlining the build, test, and deployment processes. You will play a key part in enhancing system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Monitor application and system performance, proactively identifying and removing issues.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.
• Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Dev Ops or similar role.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS , Azure , or GCP ) and containerization (Docker , Kubernetes ).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python , Bash ) and configuration management tools.
• Understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
