About the Role
Our client seeks a highly competent VoIP Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their voice over IP infrastructure in Klerksdorp . This role is essential for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the company's communication systems. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and ongoing support of VoIP platforms, PBX systems, and related hardware. This position requires a deep understanding of telecommunications protocols, network configurations, and system administration best practices.
You will contribute to a seamless communication experience for all users.
- Install, configure, and maintain VoIP systems, including PBX, voicemail, and call management platforms.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal uptime and quality of service.
- Manage user accounts, extensions, and call routing configurations according to business requirements.
- Implement and enforce security policies to protect the VoIP infrastructure from unauthorized access and threats.
- Collaborate with network and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VoIP services with the broader network infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users on VoIP features and functionalities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in administering VoIP systems and PBX platforms.
- Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
- Experience with network configuration, including firewalls, routers, and switches, as they relate to VoIP.
- Familiarity with common VoIP hardware vendors and software solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose complex communication issues.
