About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled E-commerce Platform Specialist to manage and enhance their online store operations in Vereeniging . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning, optimization, and growth of the company's e-commerce presence. You will be responsible for everything from website updates and product management to troubleshooting technical issues and implementing new platform features. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in e-commerce platforms and a passion for improving the online customer experience, directly impacting sales and brand reputation.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, maintain, and optimize the company's e-commerce platform (e.g., Magento, Shopify Plus, Woo Commerce).
- Oversee product catalog management, including adding new products, updating descriptions, pricing, and inventory levels.
- Implement and test new features, plugins, and integrations to enhance website functionality and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the e-commerce platform, working with development teams as needed.
- Monitor website performance, uptime, and security, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers.
- Analyze platform data to identify trends, conversion blockers, and opportunities for improvement.
- Proven experience as an E-commerce Platform Specialist , E-commerce Manager, or similar technical role.
- In-depth knowledge of at least one major e-commerce platform (e.g., Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce).
- Strong understanding of website design principles, UX/UI, and conversion rate optimization.
- Experience with product information management (PIM) and content management systems (CMS).
- Proficiency in analyzing web analytics data (e.g., Google Analytics) and translating insights into actions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in Vereeniging .
