About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior IT Project Manager to join their technology leadership team in Klerksdorp . This position will be responsible for managing the most critical and complex IT projects, ensuring strategic alignment, successful execution, and optimal resource utilization. You will provide leadership and guidance to project teams, mentor junior project managers, and work closely with executive stakeholders to define project roadmaps and ensure the delivery of high-impact technology solutions.

This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of IT systems and a proven ability to navigate challenging project landscapes.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale, high-visibility IT projects across the organization.
• Develop and implement IT project governance, standards, and best practices in alignment with enterprise architecture and strategic goals.
• Manage complex project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation, ensuring financial efficiency and value delivery.
• Oversee risk management and issue resolution for critical IT projects, escalating as necessary to senior leadership.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to project management staff, fostering their professional growth and ensuring adherence to methodologies.
• Effectively communicate project status, strategic implications, and key decisions to C-level executives and other senior stakeholders.

• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• PMP, Prince2, or Agile certification is essential.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in IT project management , with a significant portion focused on managing enterprise-level initiatives.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing diverse IT projects, including infrastructure upgrades, system integrations, and software development.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and drive consensus among diverse groups.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of IT security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
