Telecom Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and dedicated Telecom Network Administrator to manage and maintain their vital network infrastructure. This position is based in our Klerksdorp office and requires on-site presence to ensure the seamless operation of our telecommunications systems. You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of the network, ensuring its stability, security, and optimal performance.

This role is critical to supporting our business operations and requires a hands-on approach to network management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a commitment to maintaining a reliable network environment.

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and servers.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
• Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and security patches.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests promptly.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in telecom network administration or a similar role.
• Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network hardware.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Solar Winds, PRTG).
• Knowledge of network security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
