About the Role
Our client is seeking a strategic and technically adept E-commerce Platform Manager to lead the development, optimization, and maintenance of their online store. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless, high-performing, and user-friendly experience for customers, driving conversions, and supporting business growth. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of e-commerce technologies, user experience best practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of our client's digital retail presence.
- Oversee the day-to-day management and strategic roadmap for the e-commerce platform (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud).
- Implement new features, functionalities, and integrations to enhance user experience and drive sales.
- Collaborate with IT, marketing, and operations teams to ensure platform stability, security, and performance.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for all platform updates and new features.
- Analyze platform performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in conversion rates, site speed, and user engagement.
- Manage relationships with third-party platform vendors and solution providers.
- Significant experience managing and optimizing large-scale e-commerce platforms.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce architecture, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and integrations.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience with A/B testing and user experience (UX) research methodologies.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and SEO principles.
