About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Information Security Officer to join their team in Benoni . This role is pivotal in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization's information assets. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing security policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing security awareness programs. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and is adept at managing security risks in a corporate environment.

• Develop, implement, and enforce information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee the management of security systems and controls.
• Plan and deliver security awareness training to all employees.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an information security role.
• Proven experience in policy development, risk assessment, and security awareness training.
• Knowledge of various security frameworks and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP are advantageous.
