About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Telecommunications Network Specialist to join their established team in Klerksdorp . This role is critical in managing and optimizing the company's telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring reliable voice and data services. You will be involved in the day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and strategic planning for network upgrades within the North West province. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of various telecom technologies and a proactive approach to network management.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily operations of the company's telecommunications network , including PBX systems, VoIP, and data circuits.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to voice and data quality, connectivity, and availability.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect sensitive communications data.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to meet evolving business needs.
- Liaise with service providers and vendors to resolve issues and manage service level agreements.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of all network assets and configurations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a telecommunications network role.
- Proven expertise in managing IP telephony (VoIP) systems and associated infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
- Experience with firewall management and network security best practices.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex telecoms issues independently.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable for this role in Klerksdorp .
