About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically adept Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to manage and maintain their educational platform in Klerksdorp. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and effective utilization of the LMS, supporting both faculty and students. You will be responsible for system configuration, user support, content uploading, and generating reports to monitor usage and effectiveness.
This on-site position requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues and optimize the platform to enhance the learning experience for all users.
- Administer and maintain the organization's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring its optimal performance and availability.
- Provide technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students on LMS functionalities and best practices.
- Manage user accounts, enrollments, and course structures within the LMS environment.
- Upload and organize course content, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting according to institutional guidelines.
- Generate regular reports on LMS usage, student progress, and course completion rates for management review.
- Collaborate with IT and instructional design teams to troubleshoot issues and implement system updates or enhancements.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience specifically administering a Learning Management System (e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard).
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience with user support in a complex IT environment.
- Proficiency in managing user data, course content, and generating system reports.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
