About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Systems Administrator with expertise in telecommunications infrastructure to join their team in Klerksdorp . This vital role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's server environment and critical IT systems that underpin our extensive network operations. You will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, security, and performance, playing a key part in supporting the technological backbone of our services.

• Manage, configure, and maintain server infrastructure, including operating systems, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions.
• Implement and enforce security policies, patch management, and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and proactively optimize resource utilization.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with network and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems administration , with a strong focus on telecom systems .
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux environments, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Power Shell, Bash) for automation.
• Deep understanding of IT security best practices and network infrastructure.
