About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and insightful Social Media Analyst to join their marketing department in Benoni . This role is critical for understanding and optimizing our client's social media performance, translating data into actionable strategies that enhance brand visibility and customer engagement. You will be responsible for tracking key metrics, identifying trends, and providing recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness across all relevant platforms.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong quantitative background, excellent reporting skills, and a passion for leveraging data to drive social media success within a dynamic team environment.
- Monitor, track, and analyze social media performance across all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In).
- Develop and generate regular reports on key social media metrics, including engagement rates, reach, impressions, and sentiment.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights within social data to inform strategic decisions and campaign optimization.
- Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark performance and identify best practices.
- Provide actionable recommendations to the social media and marketing teams to improve content, targeting, and campaign strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting integration.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Analyst , Data Analyst, or similar role with a focus on social media.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Brandwatch).
- Excellent data visualization and reporting skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and data analysis techniques.
- Understanding of social media platforms, marketing trends, and digital advertising principles.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.
