About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Technician to manage and maintain the technology infrastructure within their educational facilities in Vereeniging . This role is essential for ensuring smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and educational software, providing timely technical support to staff and students. You will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT assets, and implementing IT solutions to enhance the learning and teaching experience.

- Provide timely and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues to staff and students.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals across the institution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity problems and manage network devices.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and ensure regular backups of critical data.
- Assist in the implementation and management of educational software and learning management systems.
- A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, macOS), common software applications, and network infrastructure .
- Experience with hardware repair and maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
