Senior Security Analyst - Cybersecurity

Our client is looking for a vigilant and skilled Senior Security Analyst to bolster their Cybersecurity efforts in Nelspruit. You will play a crucial role in protecting the organization's digital assets by monitoring security systems, detecting threats, and responding to incidents. • Monitor security alerts and logs from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls) to detect and respond to threats.
• Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential weaknesses.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or security analysis.
• Proficiency with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and other security tools.
• Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and cloud security concepts.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
