Information Security Administrator

Our client is looking for a diligent Information Security Administrator to join their established IT department in Vereeniging . This is an on-site role focused on the day-to-day administration and maintenance of security systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of security tools, managing user access controls, and supporting security-related projects. This position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual who prefers a hands‑on, in‑office approach to cybersecurity management.

• Administer and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data confidentiality and integrity.
• Monitor security logs and alerts, and elevate potential issues to the relevant teams.
• Assist in the implementation of security patches and updates on systems and applications.
• Support security audits and compliance activities.
• Respond to internal and external security inquiries and provide basic security support.

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT administration with a focus on security.
• Knowledge of Windows Server administration and basic networking concepts.
• Familiarity with security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
• Experience with user access management and privilege control systems.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills for an on-site role in Vereeniging .
