Service Desk Agent

Join our client's team as a Service Desk Agent in Benoni , where you will be the primary point of contact for IT support requests. Your role will be essential in ensuring that all employees have the necessary technological resources to perform their duties effectively. You will troubleshoot a wide range of IT issues, from software glitches to hardware malfunctions, providing timely and efficient solutions.

This position requires a strong technical aptitude combined with excellent customer service skills to support a busy user base. You'll work with in a dedicated IT department focused on maintaining operational excellence.

• Log, track, and resolve all incoming user support requests via the IT ticketing system.
• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate IT specialists or teams.
• Assist with the setup and configuration of new user workstations and equipment.
• Create and maintain documentation for common IT issues and resolutions.

• High school diploma required; a diploma or degree in IT or a related field is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a service desk or IT support role.
• Proficiency with Windows operating systems , Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
