About the Role
Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Network Operations Analyst to join their established team in Vereeniging . This role is fundamental to ensuring the continuous availability and optimal performance of our client's network infrastructure. You will be at the forefront of monitoring network traffic, responding to alerts, and troubleshooting issues to maintain seamless connectivity for all users. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to operational excellence within the dynamic telecommunications industry, contributing to a supportive and efficient team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor network systems and infrastructure 24/7 using specialized monitoring tools to detect and diagnose performance issues or outages.
- Respond promptly to network alerts and incidents, performing initial troubleshooting and escalation as needed.
- Analyze network traffic patterns and system logs to identify potential problems, security threats, or inefficiencies.
- Document all network events, actions taken, and resolutions in the incident management system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and technicians to resolve complex network issues and implement preventative measures.
- Assist in the testing and deployment of network configuration changes and updates.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in network operations, IT support, or a similar technical role.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and concepts.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with team members.
