Project Manager - E-commerce Platform Development

Our client, a leading online retail company in Nelspruit , is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of their e-commerce platform. This critical role will ensure the delivery of a seamless, user-friendly, and robust online shopping experience for customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce technologies, digital marketing principles, and a proven ability to manage complex web development projects.

This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work from our modern Mpumalanga offices and remotely, providing flexibility while ensuring team collaboration.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of e-commerce platform development projects.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with marketing, IT, and operations teams.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks effectively.
• Oversee website design, feature development, payment gateway integration, and user experience optimization.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external developers, designers, and vendors.
• Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Monitor website performance, customer feedback, and market trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate project status, updates, and potential issues to stakeholders regularly.

• A minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on e-commerce platforms or complex web development projects.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects involving online retail, digital marketing, and user experience (UX/UI) design.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce) and related technologies.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Jira).
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and external partners effectively.
• This role requires a hybrid work arrangement, based in Nelspruit , Mpumalanga .
