About the Role Our client, a leading innovator in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Telecommunications Solutions Architect to join their prestigious team in Benoni, Gauteng
. This senior role requires an individual with a deep technical understanding of end-to-end telecommunications systems, including fixed-line, mobile, and converged networks. You will be responsible for designing complex, scalable, and resilient solutions that meet the evolving needs of our enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong architectural design skills, a thorough grasp of emerging technologies, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical strategies.

• Design comprehensive telecommunications solutions for enterprise customers, encompassing network, voice, data, and cloud services.
• Lead technical discussions with clients to understand their business objectives and challenges.
• Develop high-level and detailed technical designs, architecture diagrams, and solution proposals.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendors for proposed solutions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with pre-sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry trends to drive innovation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to solution design teams.
• Conduct technical reviews and assessments of existing client environments.

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a Solutions Architecture role.
• Extensive knowledge of IP networking, MPLS, SD-WAN, VoIP, UCaaS, and cloud-based communication platforms.
• Experience designing complex B2B telecommunications solutions.
• Strong understanding of mobile network technologies (4G/5G) and associated services.
• Proven ability to architect highly available and resilient systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and solve complex technical problems.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, CCIE) are highly desirable.
