Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Commercial Insurance Underwriter, located in Rand West City. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications, assessing risks, making sound underwriting decisions, and setting appropriate premium rates. The role involves reviewing financial data, analyzing documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards. Close collaboration with clients and brokers to provide optimal insurance solutions and effective communication of decisions are also integral to the role.
Qualifications- Strong Analytical Skills and the ability to assess risk accurately
- Proficiency in Insurance and Underwriting processes
- Excellent Communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders
- Understanding of Finance, including risk management and financial analysis
- Keen attention to detail and decision-making abilities
- Relevant experience in insurance or a related field is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Knowledge of applicable industry regulations and compliance standards
