We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Domestic & Commercial Underwriter to join our dynamic team. • Tertiary or professional qualification in Personal Lines Short Term Insurance Underwriting
• Completed Matriculation
• RE 5 Certification
• Full FAIS Qualification with Class of Business in Personal Lines & Commercial Lines
• Current CPD Points
• At least 7 years’ experience in Personal Lines Insurance

• Provide exceptional service and process quotations for clients’ personal short-term insurance needs
• Maintain and service existing client portfolios
• Communicate with clients via telephone—taking instructions and confirming them in writing
• Use voice logging systems to clearly document client interactions
• Complete additions or deletions to existing policies promptly and accurately—confirming all changes in writing
• Update policy administration systems, generate schedules, debit/credit notes, and send out clear communications to clients
• Keep diary records of outstanding information and documentation—follow up regularly by phone, email, fax, or SMS
• Apply or remove policy discounts in line with required documentation
• Advise clients on suitable insurance coverage and keep comprehensive notes
• Handle renewals, new business, re-insurance, and credit control processes
• Investigate cancellation requests and offer retention solutions
• Proactively flag potential client issues and loss of income or service problems
• Maintain thorough documentation of all client advice and discussions
