About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and customer-focused Claims Handler specializing in Motor Insurance to join their hybrid team in Benoni . You will manage motor insurance claims efficiently and effectively, from the initial report to settlement, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company procedures. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will work a combination of remote and office-based days at our Benoni location, providing flexibility while maintaining strong team connectivity.

• Receive, record, and acknowledge motor insurance claims promptly and accurately.
• Investigate claims, gathering necessary documentation, assessing liability, and estimating repair costs.
• Communicate with policyholders, third parties, repairers, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
• Negotiate settlements within authorized limits and manage claim files diligently.
• Ensure all claims handling activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify potential fraudulent claims and escalation.
• Process payments and manage claim files closure.

• Proven experience as a Claims Handler , specifically in motor insurance.
• Strong understanding of motor vehicle repairs, accident investigation, and insurance principles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations.
• Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks in a hybrid work environment.
• A relevant insurance qualification is advantageous.
