Our client is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Materials Controller to manage the physical flow, accuracy, and readiness of stock across its industrial and solar projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory control, project kit preparation, dispatch coordination, returns processing, and warehouse management to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Grade 12 / Matric.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in warehousing, stock control, or project logistics.
  • Computer literacy and experience with inventory management systems.
  • Valid driver's licence advantageous.
  • Experience with in the solar, electrical, construction, or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of PV components including inverters, batteries, racking systems, and cabling.
  • Logistics, inventory, or supply chain-related qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch project materials according to project schedules and BOMs.
  • Ensure accurate stock control, binning, labelling, and inventory management.
  • Conduct stock counts and maintain alignment between physical stock and system records.
  • Process project returns, warranty items, and damaged stock.
  • Coordinate deliveries and maintain accurate dispatch documentation.
  • Liaise with project and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Maintain warehouse safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards.
  • Identify stock shortages and proactively communicate supply risks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and stock management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
