Logistics Controller - Durbanville

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Logistics Controller to manage and coordinate container movements within a fast-paced logistics environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking containers, coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring operational efficiency, and resolving logistics-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control inbound and outbound container movements
• Track container status using logistics systems
• Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, depots, and port authorities
• Schedule deliveries, collections, and container repositioning
• Ensure accurate container inventory and resolve discrepancies
• Manage documentation related to container movements
• Monitor deadlines to avoid detention penalties
• Identify and resolve operational delays and issues
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Prepare operational reports and performance updates

Requirements

• Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field

• Previous experience in logistics or container operations

• Strong understanding of transport and logistics processes

• Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills

• Proficient in logistics systems and Microsoft Office

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
